Laurie Lee is Executive Director of Benefits Administration for the state of Tennessee, a $1.9B public sector group health insurance enterprise that provides benefits for over 300,000 individuals and 500+ agencies serving state, higher education, local education and local government employees, retirees and dependents.
Laurie has more than 40 years’ experience in health services strategy and management. She is responsible for strategic direction, fiscal integrity, customer service, communications, regulatory compliance, and timely implementation of the public sector insurance programs.
Prior to joining the state, Laurie held executive management positions at Medstat (now Merative), Quorum Health Resources and Ascension’s Saint Thomas Hospital.
She holds a BA and Masters of Health Administration (MHA) from Duke University and is a board member of HCTN.
