Ted Van Aulen started with NJ Resources over six years ago as the Manager of Occupational Safety and Health. Areas of responsibility include companywide safety and loss prevention management, safety related trainings, safety policy development, claims tracking, reporting and oversight, incident investigations, Job Hazard Analysis, EH&S Audits, and contractor management
Ted has over 20 years of experience in environmental, safety, and loss prevention. Prior to joining NJR, he held positions with as a Safety and Loss Prevention Manager with a NJ based Worker’s Compensation and Payroll company, a Regional Environmental Health and as Safety Manager for Terminix and TruGreen companies, and as the EH&S Client Services Director for a safety consulting firm working with many of the largest construction companies within the Tri State area.
During his career, Mr. Van Aulen gained valuable experience in Hazardous Waste Operations, Industrial Hygiene, Loss and Claims Management, Fleet and Driver Safety, Respiratory Protection, and OSHA intervention. He has a B.S. in Occupational Health from Rutgers, Cook College in NJ, earned his Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certificate in 2012, and is currently an Asst. Chief on his local volunteer fire company.
