National Pharmaceutical Council
Description
The National Pharmaceutical Council (NPC) is a health policy research organization focused on the role and value of innovative medicines to improve patients’ health. We conduct research, host educational events, and collaborate with partners on the issues of evidence, value, access, and innovation. In recent years, NPC’s peer-reviewed research has focused on helping payers, policymakers, patients, and providers understand the challenges of solely looking at the cost of therapies and the importance of fully realizing the lifetime value biopharmaceuticals bring to our entire health care system. Founded in 1953 and supported by the nation’s major research-based biopharmaceutical companies, NPC’s established credibility and expertise on critical industry issues offers an inclusive opportunity for collaboration, research, and education with multiple stakeholders. Furthermore, our work complements other life science organizations by providing the research and resources that underlie many of the ongoing health policy debates.
