Matthew (Matt) Eyles is President & CEO of AHIP and leads the association toward fulfilling its mission and vision: expanding access to affordable healthcare coverage to all Americans, through a competitive marketplace that fosters choice, quality, and innovation. He joined AHIP in 2015 and led its Policy & Regulatory Affairs team and was COO before his appointment as President & CEO. Before joining AHIP, Matt held senior executive positions at Coventry Health Care, Inc. and Wyeth. Matt began his career at the Congressional Budget Office where he worked on many issues, including healthcare, budget policy, and regulatory policy. Matt is on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the National Health Council. He is a member of the Association Committee of 100 of the US Chamber of Commerce. Matt was named a Healthcare Power Player by Business Insider in 2019, among the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare in 2018, 2019, and 2020 by Modern Healthcare, and a Top Lobbyist for 2019 and 2020 by The Hill. He earned undergraduate degrees from The George Washington University in Political Science and History, as well as a graduate degree in Public Policy from the University of Rochester (NY).
