Since 1999, John Miller has been Executive Director of the MidAtlantic Business Group on Health, an association of business health benefits professionals with more than 20 members including Marriott International, T Rowe Price, and the US Office of Personnel Management. The organization is the recognized regional group for business/health collaboration and helps benefit managers for these multinational companies design health benefits that will maximize employee health while controlling cost. John works extensively with the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions and is a former board member. For the National Alliance he managed the PBM assessment and report, authored several action briefs, and helped launch an employer-based assessments of drugs under the medical benefit and the field of medical imaging. The MidAtlantic Business Group on Health is also a RESET Region for the Path Forward for Mental Health and Substance Abuse. He has served on several advisory boards including for the State of Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the Maryland Patient Safety Center. He has been asked to speak to the American Public Health Association, Centers for Disease Control, the National Quality Forum, the Jefferson School of Population Health, the Disease Management Association of America, and others.
