Jeff Brady, MD, MPH, is the Senior Vice President for Enterprise Research and Innovation at Highmark Health. He is responsible for leading the organization’s research strategy and coordinating research activities that support Highmark Health’s enterprise mission: to improve health care and create a remarkable health experience, freeing people to be their best. Dr. Brady is board-certified in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine and for nearly two decades has worked to advance health care quality and patient safety. He most recently directed the Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (2014 – 2022) at the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and has been engaged in multiple national efforts focused on health care research and improvement. Dr. Brady’s professional interests are at the intersection of health care delivery and public health and are aligned with national trends that strive to achieve the Quintuple Aim for health care improvement: improving population health, enhancing the care experience for patients and providers, reducing costs, and advancing health equity.
