HealthTrust IHP: Through its Insurance, Human Capital, and Pharmacy segment (IHP), HealthTrust operates the largest sole-sourced aggregated pharmacy contract with over 325 plan sponsors covering over 3 million lives. As an insurance aggregator and a GPO with pharmaceutical manufacturer contracts (representing over $15 billion in annual drug spend), HealthTrust is able to leverage scale and knowledge to provide significant savings to members and their employees. The savings member organizations achieve through HealthTrust IHP’s PBM offering are often passed down to the employee through reduced prices at the pharmacy and lower payroll deductions for prescription benefits. The PBM’s program serves organizations ranging in size from 2,000 to 300,000 or more covered lives. Members include both for-profit and not-for-profit health systems. In addition, the PBM program currently serves 80% of the HealthTrust provider roster. Participating organizations realize an average of more than 15% savings—valued in the millions of dollars per year.
