Estevan Rodriguez is a bartender at Monterey Beach Hotel and a proud union member of UNITE HERE Local 19. Through his lived experience both behind the bar and as a patient navigating healthcare challenges, he has seen firsthand how rising healthcare costs affect working families and advocates for more affordable and accessible healthcare.

With deep roots in his community, Estevan has brought both personal and collective experiences at Office of Health Care Affordability (OHCA) meetings, sharing his story and of others highlighting the urgent need and help push for fairer hospital pricing reform, equitable access to care, and more affordable healthcare policies in California.
