John R. Hendrix, MD, FACP, FAAHPM, is a board-certified physician in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine with a career dedicated to improving patient care and advancing value-based health initiatives.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Utah. Dr. Hendrix began his career in 2006 as a hospitalist in Tulsa before transitioning into palliative medicine in 2014, where he ultimately served as both system medical director for palliative care and system medical director for their Accountable Care Organization. In January 2024, he became medical director for Alliance Coal’s self-funded, self-administered health plan.
