Dr. J. Michael Webb founded Tennessee River Dermatology in 1997, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Webb received his Bachelor of Science degree
in mathematics at Birmingham-Southern College where he was elected into Kappa Mu Epsilon National Mathematics Honor Society. Dr. Webb was an award student at the University of Alabama School of Medicine where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed an internship and a three year residency in Dermatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Webb also was selected as a Dermatologic Surgery Fellow by Vanderbilt University where he completed an intense one year fellowship further advancing his skills and experience in skin cancer treatment and reconstruction.

Dr. Webb is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Founding Member of the American Board of Medical Specialties, and has the distinction of being among the first surgeons to also achieve board certification in the field of Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Webb received the “Pioneer Award” as a founding participant of the American College of Mohs Surgery’s MohsAIQ registry, demonstrating his commitment to quality assurance and ethical practices in Mohs Micrographic Surgery.
