Michele Mencer is the vice president and general manager of the US Renal Portfolio at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. She has 25+ years of professional experience in life sciences across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, health insurance and local government. She leads a team that recently received FDA approval to bring two new medicines to patients impacted by rare renal disease. Michele is accountable for shaping plans to bring additional medicines in the pipeline to patients impacted by kidney disease as well as accelerating organizational readiness and capabilities to achieve future corporate goals. Novartis’ areas of focus in renal disease are to close the clinical care gaps and shape the external ecosystem to support upstream kidney care that aims to improve kidney health well in advance of dialysis and transplantation.
