The Alliance for Women’s Health & Prevention (AWHP) is a nonprofit organization working to ensure that all women and girls have access to high-quality preventive care. Our mission is to advance policy that drives equitable access and prevents the burden and progression of disease to improve the lives and health of all women and girls.
One of AWHP’s signature initiatives is the EveryBODY Covered campaign, a national effort focused on expanding coverage of comprehensive obesity care. Obesity is a chronic disease affecting approximately one in three American women, yet insurance coverage for evidence-based obesity care continues to fall short.
EveryBODY Covered brings together more than 30 national partner organizations and 100,000 advocates to make the case for change. The campaign empowers women to raise their voices with policymakers and employers, advocates for expanded coverage at the state and federal levels and works to ensure obesity is treated like any other chronic disease.
Through EveryBODY Covered, AWHP is leading a movement to ensure that more women can access the full range of obesity care options they need and deserve.
