Olivia Ross serves as the Associate Director of the Employers Centers of Excellence Network (ECEN), a national, multi-employer travel medicine initiative that identifies and provides employees access to high quality care for joint replacement, spine, bariatric and cancer care. The ECEN was developed as part of the Pacific Business Group on Health’s ongoing engagement in employer-led partnerships that accelerate the adoption of value based purchasing, improving the quality and efficiency of care while also containing costs. By working collectively, PBGH supports employers in their efforts to accelerate the timing and increase the impact of national improvement efforts by sending a unified signal to the health plans and providers about expectations for patient engagement, appropriate care and quality. Before joining PBGH, Olivia spent four years managing several research projects at the Northwestern University Institute for Healthcare Studies. Her work with the Chicago Pediatric Patient Safety Consortium and the Northwestern University Transplantation Outcomes Research Collaborative focused on risk assessment, improving clinician communication and provider teamwork. Olivia holds a Master of Public Health degree from UCLA and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
