Cristie Upshaw Travis is Co-CEO of HealthCareTN, a new employer-led statewide coalition in Tennessee. HealthCareTN is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit business coalition whose members cover almost 600,000 covered lives in Tennessee. In this role she supports employers by bringing them together to share solutions and provides tools for them to manage the cost and quality of their health benefits. Cristie collaborates nationally and regionally to enhance program effectiveness and achieve results across a broader footprint. Nationally, she serves on the Boards of Directors for the National Quality Forum (Chair) and The Leapfrog Group. She is a former chair of the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions and The Leapfrog Group. She also serves on key committees for the National Quality Forum, the Core Quality Measure Collaborative, and NCQA. Cristie is a member of the University of Memphis’ Masters of Health Administration Advisory Board, former Board Chair of the Common Table Health Alliance, former Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Southern College of Optometry, and serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Masters in Quality and Safety program. Prior to HealthCareTN, Cristie was CEO of the Memphis Business Group on Health.
