Dr. Winegarden is a Sr. Fellow in Business and Economics with the Pacific Research Institute and Director, of the Center for Medical Economics and Innovation. His policy research explores the connection between macroeconomic policies and economic outcomes, with a focus on the health care and energy industries. Dr Winegarden’s editorials have been published in outlets such as USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, Investor's Business Daily, and the Hill. His previous experience includes working as a business economist in Hong Kong, a policy economist for U.S. based policy and trade associations. Dr. Winegarden received his Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University.
