Mark Wilson is President and CEO of the American Health Policy Institute and Vice President, Health and Employment Policy for the HR Policy Association in Arlington, VA. The Institute was established within HR Policy Association to examine the impact of health policy on large employers and to explore policies that will help bolster the ability of large employers to provide quality, affordable health care to employees and their dependents. In his positions at the Association, he has written or co-authored a number of studies focusing on a host of key health care issues, including price transparency, the factors influencing employer decisions regarding their role in providing health care coverage to their employees. His work also includes legislative and regulatory policy analysis of various health care and employment related bills and regulations. Mr. Wilson has over 40 years of employment and health care policy experience including serving seven years as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Employment Standards Administration at the U.S. Department of Labor for President George W. Bush. He has published or co-authored over 110 research papers, testified more than 14 times before Congress, and frequently briefs members of Congress and the Administration and employment and health care issues.
