Carrie Rust serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer with ELLWOOD Group Inc., a family-owned, privately held company based in western Pennsylvania, with 25 divisions throughout North America. In her role, Carrie is responsible for leading ELLWOOD’s long-term people strategy and team member initiatives across the organization. She also leads in the areas of compensation and benefits, payroll, recruitment, training and development, succession planning, evaluating, and integrating strategic acquisitions, and facilitating ELLWOOD’s unique culture of positive engagement with more than 2,000 employees in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Throughout her time with U.S. Steel, Carrie served in roles as Director of Organization Development; Director Health and Welfare Benefits; Benefit Program Analysis and Planning Manager; among others. Carrie is the Chairperson of the Lawrence County School-To-Work Board of Directors, a Board Member of the Houston Business Coalition on Health (HBCH) and served for several years on the Pittsburgh Business Group on Health’s (PBGH) Board of Directors. Carrie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Grove City College, a Master of Education in Instructional Systems from Pennsylvania State University, and an Executive Certificate in Organizational Consulting and Change Leadership from Georgetown University.
