Deborah Williams is an expert on pharmaceutical and hospital policy. She has decades of experience in Medicare and was an integral part of key events in Medicare policy from the start of the physician fee schedule, the outpatient hospital PPS, the Medicare Modernization Act while in and out of government positions. She worked for the Ways and Means Committee, the American Hospital Association, MedPAC, CMS and three of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies. She has worked on a number of projects analyzing the spillover from government policies to the private sector. Today, she lives in South Carolina and is cowriting several papers with leading academics.
