Purpose
As the new Congress takes shape, the high and rising cost of healthcare is front and center for voters. Growing bipartisan interest in the 340B Drug Pricing Program indicates that the status quo is no longer sustainable – and that Congress can’t treat a program of 340B’s size as an obscure fight between just hospitals and drugmakers, given its impact on the commercial market, hospital finances, and price transparency.
This National Alliance convening brings together voices who are often left out of the debate, but whose perspectives are critical to understanding 340B’s real-world impact: public- and private-sector employers, unions, taxpayers, patients, independent providers and pharmacists, and more.
The event will offer a constructive conversation about how transparency, accountability, and guardrails can protect the safety net while addressing the cost pressures facing working families.
