Chuck Columbus is Chief Executive Officer of the American Health Policy Institute. He assumed these responsibilities in September 2019. The American Health Policy Institute (AHPI) is a division of the HR Policy Association providing thought leadership on health and wellbeing practices and healthcare policy.

Prior to joining AHPI, he spent the prior decade with Kaiser Permanente (KP), the largest integrated healthcare system in the U.S. While with KP, he was a member of the Board of HR Policy Association and a member of the Board of Governors of AHPI. While with KP, Chuck had responsibility for all people related functions including talent, compensation and benefits, labor relations, workplace health and safety, equity, inclusion and diversity and wellbeing programs. He retired from KP as Chief Human Resources Officer in May 2019.

Prior to joining KP in 2009, Chuck spent more than 30 years with Ford Motor Company in a variety of human resource roles in the U.S. and Asia markets.
