I have 15 years’ experience as a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist. My experience includes working in industry, inpatient/outpatient hospital settings as well as endocrinology clinics. I have been responsible for educating patients, physicians, nurses and other health care professionals (HCPs) regarding the importance of intensive management of patients with diabetes. The burden of chronic disease management often hinders patients from achieving successful adherence to prescribed plans of care and my goal, in any setting, is to help relieve this burden and assist patients in preventing complications and improving their outcomes.
