Jeffrey Kluever has been executive director of the Business Health Care Group since August 2016. Kluever has been involved with the BHCG since its inception, as a member employer representative on the BHCG’s Executive Steering Committee, chair of the Provider Subcommittee and a member of the Benefits Subcommittee.
Before joining the BHCG Kluever served as senior director – risk and benefits management at Journal Communications where he spent nearly 30 years leading its health care strategy. Previously, he held similar positions at Perry Printing Company, Stokely USA, Inc. and Wausau Insurance Companies.
Kluever has broad experience in the areas of health care, benefits, risk, legal, human resources and management. He also serves on the boards of directors of the Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ), the Wisconsin Health Information Organization (WHIO) and the Greater Milwaukee Business Foundation on Health (GMBFH).
Kluever has a long history of participation in employer-led efforts to improve the value of health care – both quality and cost – in the eastern Wisconsin market and is well known among regional health care stakeholders as an action-oriented individual.
Mr. Kluever holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Stout.
