Dr. Ariana Chao is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and Center for Weight and Eating Disorders at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Chao's research is focused on identifying biobehavioral mechanisms related to binge eating disorder and disordered eating. She is particularly interested in the roles of stress, reward and food cravings in obesity and obesity-related metabolic abnormalities. She is also interested in developing innovative ways to improve weight loss maintenance. Dr. Ariana Chao has studied at Yale University and Boston College. She is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
