Paul advises employers on human resource issues, with a focus on health and welfare benefit program strategy, including: design, funding, vendor selection, communication and employee engagement. Paul’s clients are typically early adopters of innovative approaches to improving health and health care value. His experience includes start-up and M&A strategy and execution. In 2010 Paul co-initiated the creation of the Connecticut Business Group on Health, a business group of small and large employers committed to working collaboratively with stakeholders to improve Connecticut health care value. He is currently a board member. In 2013, Paul worked with other stakeholders to form the Connecticut Choosing Wisely Collaborative (CCWC). CCWC is focused on the promotion and adoption of Choosing Wisely principles and practices by key stakeholders in our state. Paul is a key contributor to Connecticut's Moving to Value Alliance, and its efforts to accelerate payment reform. Paul’s past community involvement includes: Sustinet board member, Business Council of Fairfield County Health Care Leadership Council chair, HealthFirst committee member, Connecticut Primary Care Coalition member. He was one of the co-authors of the 2012 Connecticut Health Insurance Exchange Planning Report. Education Paul holds an undergraduate degree from Villanova University and a MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
