Dr. Preety Gadhoke is an advocate for multi-sectoral partnerships, cross-functional collaborations, and innovation to address health disparities among underserved populations. She has experience working in government, academia, and industry. Her expertise lies in multi-level interventions for chronic disease prevention – across policy makers, schools, households, workplaces, healthcare, and communities at large. Currently, she is a Medical Science & Outcomes Liaison at AbbVie, US Medical Affairs, Value & Access, and serves as a pan-therapeutic advisor among healthcare decision makers and leads a Health Equity team. Prior to joining AbbVie, Dr. Gadhoke was a tenured Associate Professor and Interim Director of Public Health at St. John’s University, NY. She is a recipient of the US Fulbright Fellowship and has served on several scientific advisory boards. Well-published, her recent research focused on racial disparities in healthcare, job, and food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic in NYC and Chicago. Dr. Gadhoke obtained a PhD as a Sommer Doctoral Scholar in International Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, an MPH in Health Policy & Management from Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health, and a BA in Sociology/Anthropology and Biology from Knox College.
