Thomas Wilson, PhD, DrPH is an independent pragmatic epidemiologist specializing in the design, evaluation, and science-based improvement of population health programs and AI based predictive health solutions.
He has over 30 years of experience in using real world data to creatively design studies to generate usable real-world evidence. His special interests are in mental and behavioral health issues, oncology, cardiovascular disease, disease & population management, and the accuracy of screening tools in the real world.
He served on the faculty of UC Berkeley and Columbia University; and was a Fulbright awardee at the University of the West Indies in Cave Hill, Barbados. In recent years, major health insurance firms, pharmaceutical companies, clinical practice groups, self-insured employer groups, and population health organizations have been his clients. Major medical journals (e.g., Lancet, BMJ) have published his research. In the early part of his career, he was an associate editor of the encyclopedic Cambridge World History Human Diseases. Wilson is currently an active member on Consumer Technology Association’s committee on AI in health care.
Wilson received a doctorate in public health (DrPH) in epidemiology from UCLA and a PhD in biological history from Bowling Green State University. He is currently Chief Epidemiologist for Trajectory® Health AI in Annapolis, Maryland (https://trajectoryhealth.ai/)
